Celebrant Services
I create, write and deliver personalised ceremonies to honour the most important occasions in life. This includes weddings, funerals, naming and adoption ceremonies, and more. Most of my work takes place around Dorset, but I’m open to travelling further afield to help create the experience you desire.
My job is to capture the tone and energy that feels right for you. This isn’t about stiff traditions or copy-paste ceremonies; it’s about creating bespoke, genuine celebrations where everyone feels part of the celebration.
What sets me apart from other celebrants is how I can integrate poetry and prose into the proceedings I deliver. Drawing on my extensive experience in poetry performance and workshop hosting around the world, I can help you select the perfect passages, and create new ones, which communicate your most precious memories and emotions with a natural rhythm that honours the way we actually speak and remember.
Here are some of the ways we can work together to make your ceremony the best it can be. All the prices you see are final – no hidden costs or fees involved.
If you have special considerations or unusual circumstances that are not covered by the options below, I am always happy for you to drop me an email so that we can discuss further.

Frequently Asked Questions
A celebrant officiates weddings, funerals and other major celebrations at various life stages in a way that feels personal, respectful, and honours all of the individuals involved.
My job is to make sure your ceremony is centred around you and your loved ones. I bring everyone together to celebrate these moments, not just witness it.
In all the celebrant services I deliver, I adhere to the Celebrant Circle’s Code of Conduct.
I can lead ceremonies in any approved chosen venue. For funerals, all the official and legal administration must be arranged by the funeral director, and the ceremony can beheld in a place of choice.
Most of the ceremonies I am involved with will take around 30 minutes, depending on the number of rituals and readings that the people I work with wish to be included. This length of time ensures we deliver the most powerful and moving words possible without diluting their meaning and intent. That said, there is no “set time” that I aim for with each ceremony – each one is bespoke to you and your loved one’s needs, and can be made longer or shorter as required.
The only exception to this is funerals. Crematorium and cemetery services must adhere to the specific times given and must keep to the length of time allowed, which may vary depending on the exact crematorium or cemetery. Alternative venues can be chosen, and they can be anywhere that has agreed to allow a funeral ceremony to be held there. Time allowance is generally more generous at these venues, but it is best to confirm that the funeral director is content with the arrangement.
The ceremonies I deliver are not legally binding – yet. There is talk of changes in legislation to allow celebrants to perform legally-binding marriages in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but it is unclear when or if such changes will truly happen.
For your marriage to be legally binding, I recommend completing a short Statutory Marriage Ceremony at a Registry Office just before or just after your wedding ceremony with me. Alternatively, you can also pay your local council to have a Registrar present at the ceremony who can handle the legal part of the proceedings, and leave the rest up to me.
Either way, I can guide you in this process to find a solution that works best for you.
I do not conduct Church weddings – these can only be performed by a suitable Church minister. However, I can incorporate religious elements into your ceremony, such as hymns and prayers, should you wish.
Yes! These will generally fall under the same pricing as Namings, Adoptions and Unique Ceremonies, but you can get in touch with me if you have something specific in mind.
Yes, including internationally! Please get in touch with me so we can discuss any additional costs associated with travel.
